poor recovery

well, i survived.
better than my husband did.

the weekend was a blur of friendship and love.
by far, my best birthday party yet.
i booked a table for 20.
over 40 people showed.

people like me apparently.
it's weird, but i don't ask questions.
i just assumed my husband paid them off somehow.

sunday was spent in recovery mode.
brunch, then naps, then the long snowy drive home.

monday i got sick.
really sick.
the flu has demanded immediate vacating of all fluids from my body.
and they have complied.
i have to apply moisturizer to stay alive.

sitting at the computer makes me dizzy.
i'm thankful i can check my twitter and facebook from my iphone.

also, this is the first time in my life that i don't enjoy watching the food network.
but daytime tv is abysmal.
is watching harry potter: half blood prince once a day for over a week a strange thing to do?
it's either that or twilight again.
my brain can't cope with more.

as my friend cwp said to me this weekend...
life is a skytrain, with many stops.

so thanks to everyone that got on my car and took a ride with me.

Sooooo seriously sorry for getting you all sick! I should have stayed home this weekend.
But your party was awesome. Can't miss the Dirty 30.
Besides, seeing you and your husband in fine form is always worth a trip, sick and infectious or not.
